EMG ADDICTION SERVICES

Interventions + Addiction Counseling

Loving someone struggling with substance abuse takes a catastrophic emotional toll on everyone. Responsibilities, pain, and dysfunction increase for family members and friends, as the behavior of the addict becomes proportionately more unpredictable.

With a collaborative and direct approach, our goal is to restore balance within the family by bringing the needs of the loved ones back into focus.

EMG offers 60-minute online and in-person sessions for anyone who has reached the classic, "We're at the end of our rope. What do we do now?" stage.

During your complimentary initial consultation, we'll discuss where you are in the journey and the best place to start based on your specific needs.

Our next steps fit into one of the following three areas:

  • Intervention  The addict you love is in denial and unwilling to seek help. This is a carefully guided process that allows members of the support network to gather with the addict, outline consequences of their substance abuse, and ask them to accept treatment.

  • Treatment Options Whether it's a local detox, a residential in-patient center, a 12-step or an out-patient program, treatment is not one-size-fits-all.  It's important to work with someone who has a broad understanding of local and national resources, knows the questions to ask, cuts through the insurance confusion, and successfully facilitates the transition.

  • Family Counseling This is specifically created for families, friends, and allies of the addicted person.  It's the center where healing begins for members of the support network of the addict.  Our 60-minute sessions provide a roadmap for moving toward your own healing.  This process will guide you through different stages of coping, while covering a variety of topics such as boundary setting, family roles, risk factors, what enabling looks like, understanding an addicts behavior, and constructive communication.
